Welcome to St. Edan’s National School

We are a two-teacher school with a junior classroom (Junior Infants to 2^ndclass) and a senior classroom (3^rd to 6^th class). Our Junior teacher is Mrs. Miriam Kehoe and the Senior teacher and Principal is Ms. Sarah Byrne.

We pride ourselves on creating a child-centered learning environment where each child is valued and cared for. Each child is encouraged to grow and develop in a happy, safe and loving environment. As we are a small school, each child gets a unique experience and becomes part of the school family where they develop academically, spiritually, emotionally and socially.

We offer a holistic learning experience where parents are encouraged to be part of the children’s learning experience and to enjoy the journey together.

We have strong links with the community and St. Edan’s Cathedral. We are under the patronage of the Diocese of Cashel, Ferns and Ossory and our Bishop, Michael Burrows, plays an active role in the local Church of Ireland primary schools.

We take part in GAA, Sing Out Loud concerts, soccer blitzes and for the first time, the Primary Science Award of Excellence. Each child is encouraged to take part in something that they enjoy and their passions are nurtured and supported.
